Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has announced that Kiambu County is receiving the largest portion of government funding for development and infrastructure.
He attributed this to the county’s overwhelming support during the last general election, saying, “Kiambu must be appreciated for delivering the highest number of votes to this administration.”
According to Kindiki, the county has already received Sh22 billion, with an additional Sh26 billion earmarked for upcoming projects such as road construction. He said the funds are part of loans secured earlier from China.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people of Kiambu, saying the county played a key role in ushering in the current administration.
“Kiambu is home to many people. It gave UDA and President William Ruto the highest number of votes. We are here to fulfill the promises we made under the Bottom-Up Economic Agenda, which we campaigned on across this county,” said Kindiki.
Speaking during a development tour, the DP avoided current political debates, instead urging leaders to stay connected with citizens beyond election periods.
National Assembly Majority Leader and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah lauded the Kenya Kwanza administration for appointing numerous leaders from Kiambu County to key government positions.
