President visits Ng'eno's Karen home, condoles with his family

President William Ruto on Monday visited the home of the late Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno in Karen, Nairobi, to condole with the family.
The President, accompanied by other leaders, was received by the grieving family and friends before signing the condolence book.
Speaking after the private family visit, President Ruto described the late Ng’eno as a “progressive and devoted servant of the people” who worked tirelessly for his constituents. He said Ng’eno was focused, vocal and fearless, and was a leader who stood firmly for justice and equity for all.
Meanwhile, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu said Ng’eno will be buried this Friday at his rural home in Trans Mara, following an overnight vigil in line with Kipsigis cultural practices.

Ntutu spoke after consulting with Ng’eno’s family at their Mogondo home in Trans Mara Sub-County.
He said the body of Ng’eno and that of Kenya Forest Service officer Amos Kipngetich Rotich will arrive at their respective homes on Thursday, while the bodies of the three other young men who were also on board the helicopter will be taken to their homes on Friday ahead of the burials. “I would like to inform the public that the family has agreed to hold the burial ceremony on Friday. The requiem mass will be held at the local Baptist church on Wednesday,” Ntutu said.
The funeral service for five of the victims of the helicopter crash will be held at Emurua Dikirr Primary School before the bodies are taken to their respective homes for burial.
Ntutu assured the families that the government will conduct a thorough investigation into the helicopter crash to dispel any speculation surrounding the circumstances that led to the crash. “I urge Kenyans, especially politicians, to stop politicising the cause of the helicopter crash. Do not use it to settle political scores or gain popularity,” he said.
Ntutu, who was accompanied by Bomet Governor Hilary Barchok, spoke after meeting Ng’eno’s family at their Mogondo rural home in Trans Mara yesterday. He eulogised Ng’eno as a champion of the underprivileged. Also present was Kilgoris MP Julius Ole Sunkuli, who praised Ng’eno as a frontline MP who actively contributed to parliamentary proceedings.
Narok Deputy Governor Kiprono Koech Tamalinye described Ng’eno as a role model in leadership.
Meanwhile, Narok County Commissioner Kipkech Lotiatia urged the public to remain calm as investigations into Ng’eno’s death continue and cautioned against spreading misinformation on social media.
