A middle-aged woman was on Friday afternoon stabbed to death by ex-boyfriend at Uhuru market along Jogoo road in Nairobi.
According to witnesses, the woman identified as Fellister, a tailor, was in her workplace when the man arrived and beckoned her outside.
It is reported that the two argued but the man shortly removed a knife and stabbed her on the chest four times.
"The two were dating but had parted ways, even though the man used to visit her in the workplace several times, we usually see them talking outside the shop whenever he comes," said Abraham Otieno, a witness
Adding that, "the man was known within the building where the deceased worked because he was a printer in one of the shops located on the third floor. What sparked the argument is still unknown,”

Another witness told the Saturday Standard that the man who appeared tipsy arrived at the shop where the deceased worked and during the argument he threatened to kill the lady adding that no one knew that he was carrying a hidden knife at the time.
“I heard him saying that if he will not be killed by the mob, he will kill her before removing the knife and stabbing her on the chest four times and attempting to run down but he was apprehended,” he added.
The suspect was seized by the members of the public and handed over to the nearby Jogoo Road police station where the matter was booked while the deceased body was moved to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Mortuary.
