At least 28 body parts have been found near Kwa Binzaro village giving credence to reports that some followers of the cult were mauled or dug out of shallow graves by hyenas.
Yesterday, 18 human body parts were collected from the village, while four bodies were exhumed from the shallow graves. This brings the number of bodies exhumed at Kwa Binzaro to 13.
Body parts such as leg, hands, heads or chests recovered of the forest were fresh, raising another claim that some bodies were dismembered and thrown into the forest.
Detectives said they are yet to find the remains of the six children whose parents alerted security agents to the existence of the cult near where the Shakahola massacre was detected in 2023.

Pathologists said DNA test of the body parts will be conducted to ascertain the actual number of bodies where were cut from. Four body parts were found on Friday and six on Thursday.
The bodies were exhumed from four graves, which were scattered in the forest. A body buried in a very shallow grave was eaten by wild animals, and some limbs were missing.
Speaking at Kwa Binzaro, Coast Region Commissioner Rhoda Onyancha says investigations are ongoing to arrest more people who are involved in the cult.
"We have arrested the main culprit, the lady who was operating here, and 10 other suspects. However, more arrests will be made after the investigations are completed," said Onyancha.
Onyancha said that investigations are ongoing to establish who sold the 5-acre property to the main suspect. "We are aware that this is Chakama Ranch, and the owners did not sell this land," said Onyancha.
She has also urged the local administrators to be vigilant to avoid people coming to the forest to do illegal activities.
Onyancha has also disclosed that several religious leaders have been arrested in Ganze, Kaloleni and Kinango in Kwale County who were doing crazy things in the name of religion.
She has also urged family members of the victims rescued from the cult to accept them and reintegrate them into the family to avoid them coming back to the forest.
"We have established that the people that were here are the people that we rescued in Shakahola in 2023, and some went back," she said.
Onyancha said they come back to the forest after being rejected and victimised by their families and the community where they come from.
“We are appealing to the families; kindly, once we cancel these people and bring them back home, please accept them. "They are your families so that we don't have them again coming back," she said.
She has also asked the families who have lost their loved ones to report at the desk set up by the Kenya Red Cross at Malindi Sub County Hospital.
Human rights activists led by Waled Sketty of Vocal Africa have urged the government to deploy sniffer dogs and drones to help in the search for graves, which are widely distributed in the forest.
The activist also asked the government to create a good relationship with the local communities around Kwa Binzaro.
"Locals here fear that if they provide information to the government, they will be arrested and treated as criminals," said Walid.
Bodies were buried many kilometres from the homesteads and were transported with motorbikes.
